Privacy Policy

GoudGigs (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an operations platform for the live-event production industry that connects event producers with freelance contractors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our web and mobile applications (together, the “Service”).

GoudGigs is operated by Cambalache Studio. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the Service.

Account and profile information

• Name, email address, and phone number.
• Role (Producer or Contractor).
• Business name, mailing and billing address, and country.
• Tax identifiers (e.g., SSN or EIN) when required for tax forms such as W-9.
• Profile photo, company logo, and signature image.
• Payment method details you enter for invoicing (e.g., Zelle, Venmo, PayPal handles, or bank account identifiers). GoudGigs does not currently process payments; these fields are displayed on your invoices so your clients can pay you directly.

Content you upload

• Invoices, service line items, and expense receipts.
• Signed contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• W-9 forms and business registration documents.
• Event details, contractor assignments, and scheduling information.

Technical and usage information

• Device identifiers, operating system, and mobile push notification tokens.
• IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and browser type.
• Log data such as pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in.

2. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Generate invoices, contracts, NDAs, and W-9 PDFs you request.
• Apply your stored signature to documents when you sign them.
• Deliver transactional email (via Resend), SMS (via Twilio), and push notifications (via Expo) about account activity, contract and invoice status, upcoming events, and compliance reminders.
• Authenticate users and secure accounts.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
• Comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How information is shared

We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Between platform users. To make the Service work, some of your profile and document data is shared with the other party in a working relationship. For example, a Contractor’s name, contact, signed contracts, and invoices are visible to the Producer they work with, and vice versa.
• Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under contractual obligations: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (web hosting), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Expo / Google FCM / Apple APNS (mobile push notifications), and Google Cloud / Amazon Web Services (underlying infrastructure used by our vendors).
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others.
• Business transfers. If GoudGigs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified by email or a prominent notice on the Service before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data retention

We retain account and document data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Signed contracts, invoices, and tax forms may be retained for at least seven years.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest on our database and object storage, row-level access controls, and restricted service credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access and update. You can view and edit most of your profile information from the Profile and Settings sections of the app.
• Notifications. You can opt out of SMS at any time from Settings → Notifications (or by replying STOP to a GoudGigs SMS). You can disable push notifications from your device settings.
• Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us at the address below. We may retain certain records we are legally required to keep (e.g., signed contracts, issued invoices, tax forms). See Delete your account for the full list of what is deleted and what is kept.
• Data portability. You can request a copy of the personal data associated with your account.
• State-specific rights. Depending on where you live (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado), you may have additional rights regarding the processing of your personal information. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children’s privacy

GoudGigs is intended for use by adults who operate in the live-event production industry. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International users

GoudGigs is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., please note that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
